Born and raised in Cleveland, TN, Walston is a Son of the South has seen great success making raucous music with his high octane mix of vocals and piano. This talented songwriter and his band always deliver an entertaining stage show combining honky-tonk, Sun Records rockabilly, Stax singles and heavy classic rock.

Since going on the road at age 13 with his legendary bluesman grandfather “Big Daddy” R.L. Burnside, Cedric has earned two album Grammy nominations, was recognized with the 2024 Mississippi Governor’s Art Award for Excellence in Music, and received the honor of a National Heritage Fellowship. He has also appeared in several films and performed or recorded with diverse artists such as Jimmy Buffet and Widespread Panic.

This night will showcase a local band who was chosen as the winner from the Road to Nightfall competition, through a series of five nights of competition involving a popular public vote as well as a panel of judges in the music industry. The top band will be performing in the headline position tonight at Nightfall, and the runner up as the opening act. Check our website for the update on who’s playing!

A Grammy-winning Cajun band formed in 1999 by brothers Louis and Andre Michot, the Ramblers are known for their progressive take on traditional Cajun music, blending modern sounds with ancient melodies and lyrics. The last five years have also included a feature of them on Jack White's American Epic and tours with both Arcade Fire and the Violent Femmes.

This band, originating as high school friends and brothers Nathan and Caleb Hurley, makes anthemic and jangly indie-rock that sparkles with the same energy as acts like Cage the Elephant and Vampire Weekend. A Missouri-based group, Fox Royale have the unique ability to make music about things like emotional insecurities, breakups and family breakdowns sound almost joyful.
w/ Telemonster
A dynamic folk quartet from Minneapolis, known for their captivating performances and multi-instrumental prowess blending folk, old-time string-band, and indie rock influences. The band consists of Lee Henke, Ryan Acker, Vincenzio Donatelle, and Lauren Anderson, bringing a full spectrum of modern Americana to life with lush four-part harmonies, acoustic guitar, upright bass, fiddle, and 5-string banjo.

A genre-bending band from New Orleans that pulls from pop, Americana, dark ballads and up-tempo indie dance music. The original band members moved from their California home to New Orleans in 2010 when the town was in the process of rebuilding after Katrina, where they developed their gypsy carnival tunes, dark and deep in tone with a bit of a Mardi Gras vibe.

A Chicago-based, five-piece band known for their modern take on vintage-sounding soul influenced by artists like Leon Bridges, Sam Cooke, and Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings. Known as a low key, retro indie band who pens "chill, twinkly R&B-influenced” tunes, they released their first EP in 2020 and in 2022 released a new album titled "If You're Ever Lost."

Born in London to Sudanese parents and raised in Ohio, Sinkane - real name Ahmed Gallab - blends Afrobeat-inspired rock, funk ,electronica and jazzy pop to create his signature feel-good vibes, fueled by catchy rhythms and straightforward lyrics. A lifelong collaborator and curator of music, Gallab was also nominated in 2024 as Best Composer, Lyricist or Book Writer by the Stage Debut Awards for his composition work on “The Enormous Crocodile,” which debuted in Leeds, UK.

A high-energy bluegrass ensemble of standout players from a city known for the quality of its musicians, East Nash Grassblends traditional bluegrass with a modern twist. What started as loose collection of pickers at Dee’s Country Cocktail Lounge gradually solidified into a committed group of bandmates who quickly became one of the top and most sought after young bands in bluegrass music.
